What is a VPS?

VPS (virtual private server) is a method of dividing a physical server in independent elements each one providing the operational characteristics of a real server. We use Xen Paravirtualization (PV) for all our offered servers, so the guests are aware of the hypervisor and can run efficiently without emulation or virtual emulated hardware.

What OS are supported by Ryaka services?

We offer the latest stable distributions of your favorite operating system. Currently Centos 5.4, Fedora 12, Gentoo 2010-0, Debian-5.0 Lenny, Ubuntu-9.10 and Slackware-13.0 in 32-bit and 64-bit architecture.

How long it takes for my VPS to get ready for use after having submitted an order?

A newly ordered system should be ready for use after 1-2 days after having received your payment.

Is there any initial time period when I can cancel my order and get my money back?

Yes, you can take advantage of a back-money guarantee of 7 days

If I need to ask you to reinstall the OS environment at some point due to a fault of mine, should I pay for it?

We do not apply addtional costs. If you have rendered your server unbootable or you broke something in your boot configuration files we will try to repair your system without any additional cost. The time required to restore your vps will depend on our current workload, and the level of applied damage. Ryaka is one of the few providers to not apply additional costs for restoration.

I am in the middle of a year in subscription and I decided that I need to modify my Ryaka plan (memory, disk size, OS upgrade). What am I supposed to pay for upgrade or downgrade?

We do not apply additional costs. Will be setup a new payment agreement (if you use paypal) and you will have to pay regularly your subscription's monthly fee.

Do you provide any data-backup service?

We keep daily backups of your vps' image for free. For additional backup services please contact us describing what are your needs.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Allowed methods of payments are PayPal and Bank ransfer.

How do I terminate my subscription?

You would really help us if you can drop an email notifying us with your intensions. If your selected method of payment is paypal, please cancel your paypal's recurring payment subscription to Ryaka. from your paypal's control panel. If we do not receive the recurring payment fee after 7 days from the prestabilished date we suspend the subscription and power-off your vps. If your subscription is unpaid after a month we will render inactive your account and vps is resetted !IMPORTANT! All data will be definetely removed from our systems after one month of inactive accounts.
